4 Day sailing tour Split-Brac-Hvar-Bisevo-Komiza-Pakleni islands-Solta-Split

DAY 1 SPLIT – MILNA (Brac) – HVAR (Hvar)

We sail from Split towards the island of Brac. This is the time to let go and enjoy the music of thewinds, waves and warmth of the sun and the dance of dolphins passing by. We stop in one of Milna’shidden bays for swimming and snorkelling (gear is included), so you can explore the underwater worldwhile taking a break. Milna is a small 16th c. village located on the western part of the island of Brac.It is famous for it’s marvellous bay, the birthplace of many of the worlds’ sailing captains and ships ofthe 18th and 19th century!

Then we continue towards the island of Hvar, the only Croatian island listed among the top 10 islands in the world!!! The sunny days, the surrounding crystal blue waters with nearby seductive islands, ancient villages, innumerable lavender fields, olive plantations and vineyards, enchanting stone streets and old Venetian palaces of the proud town of Hvar, are some of the reasons why everybody today is talking about Hvar! We spend a night on the boat, anchored in Hvar harbour. The well-known Hvar’s summer night life awaits you!

DAY 2 HVAR- BISEVO – KOMIZA (Vis)

After indulging yourself in local wine, cocktails or just coffee, we leave the town of Hvar in the morning and sail off to the Pakleni islands archipelago, a labyrinth of several smaller islands that offer perfect bays for swimming and snorkelling.

Then we continue towards the small island of Bisevo. Its area is 5.8 km, and it has only 19 inhabitants. The island has several caves, the most famous being the “Blue Cave”, which is accessible since 1884, and only by boat. It is 18 meters long, 6 meters deep and 6 meters high. The cave’s entrance is only 1.5 meters high and 2.5 meters wide. Around 10am to 1pm, the sunbeams that penetrate through the submarine opening in the Blue Cave reflect from the white bottom floor and colour the cave in blue, and objects in the water in silver. The sight is magical. After visiting the cave we will sail to one of the bays for swimming. If the weather suits us, we might even visit the Green Cave, with a similiar effect to the Blue Cave except in green!

We arrive during late afternoon in Komiza on the island of Vis, and spend the night there. Vis is the most outerly lying larger Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea. Its turbulent history goes back to the time of Neolithics, through the Greek period to the time when Venice was governing the island. After the 2nd WW it was closed to the public, due to it’s use as a military base for the Yugoslav army. After Croatia’s independence, Vis today is an island proud of its limpid waters and protected submarine world, rich with sunken ships and magic marine images that have been hidden for years.
